A Witch Alone?

Hello lovelies,

I count my blessings that we magical people can connect across the world through the magic of the internet. Magical Allies are so important.​

Growing up it was so challenging to find other people to share this passion of mine with, to learn with.

I was actually lucky enough to live near Avebury, the largest megalithic stone circle in the world, where many pagans would gather at the festivals. Eight times a year I'd go and hang out with people who shared a common interest in magic, though there were far fewer people there at Imbolc than at the Summer Solstice!

Even there I found it hard to meet other humans that would circle with me in deep magic.

But everywhere I went were those hidden folk who had drawn me into the magic...

The Fair Folk, Good Neighbours, Mothers' Blessing, Tylwyth Teg... you know... the spirits we call Faeries were calling.

The witch-hunters used to say one can not be a witch alone, and they were right, but not for the reasons they thought.

Learning from living humans and working magic together is important, but we've always learned from the spirits. Especially when our living lineages have been broken or driven underground.

And me? My first allies have always been the Faeries.

If you're reading this, there's a good chance that they're your allies too, even if you don't know it yet.
