October 2025

Hello lovelies,

Happy Scorpio Season!

Next weekend it's Samhain / Halloween / Nos Calan Gaeaf here, and it's the annual occult conference in Cardiff run by Dragonoak Coven.

I was asked to come and share some stories about fairies to finish the day and it sent me down a research rabbit hole weaving a talk-cum-storytelling-show from history and legend about the relationships between cunning folk and those fairy spirits that are our neighbours and allies.

And honestly there's far more that I want to share than I can fit into 45 minutes so I thought I'd offer an extended version of the talk online!

Join me on Patreon at the £5 "Magic and Musings" tier (or above if you want to!) before Sunday evening to come live and ask questions (or just listen, that's ok too). And there will be a replay (tech gods willing) if you can't make it live.

Magic This Month... Babalon Circles

Our next live circle will be on Monday 17th November, and you're welcome to join us.

And a poll - what magical topics are you most interested in?

If you enjoy my offerings do share this with a friend who would enjoy it too. Let's spread love and magic through the world!

May your life be enchanted.

In delight,

My friend asked a pertinent question: do you actually use all the wands you've made? And the short answer is; no, but it isn't always about "using". Read...

From Dr. Halo Quin Magic & Musings Join The Enchanted Academy Community Here (Free) Dragons in Wales (and updated dates) Hello folks, Turns out that there really are dragons in the Welsh woods! Not that long ago a chap took a team to search for dragons in the Glamorgan forest. Like myself... they found them! Not huge creatures, but shimmering, undulating flying serpents that danced through the air for ages, fully visible before their eyes until they disappeared into a nearby canyon. The...

From Dr. Halo Quin Magic & Musings Join The Enchanted Academy Community Here (Free) July 2026 Hello lovelies, Happy Solstice! I'm returning to my monthly (ish) updates on what's happening in Halo land. Alongside entering into editing season on my next manuscript ("Neurodivergent Witchcraft", co-authored with Irisanya Moon), I've been practicing pacing myself, always fun. The monthly Babalon circles and DIY Tarot club are both going well, I've got a big storytelling gig coming up next month...
