June is upon us! The summer is always a busy time for me as a performer and teacher, and I've been looking at how best I can support the community while honouring my body, mind, and self, just as I tell my students to do. I'm restructuring my courses and memberships, and I'll be sharing an update in the next week or two about what's changing, what's new, and what this means for you! This month we'll have two live events in TEA, (details below) but first, I've got an announcement...
Announcing: book on Babalon out 2026!
I'm thrilled to share with you that I've just signed a new book contract with Moon Books... an introduction to the Goddess Babalon! And yes, this is the Babalon my first two singles were written in honour and praise of! If you haven't heard of Babalon (the Goddess, not the city "Babylon") then here's the short version: Babalon is a modern goddess with ancient roots, and could be best summarised as an earthy goddess of life, death, love, lust, and everything in between.
She embodies total, unconditional, self-acceptance, and is a powerful ally in reclaiming your personal power, pleasure, and freedom. For many she is a symbol of feminine empowerment and liberation, but she goes beyond that, encompassing all genders as she encompasses all of life. I've shared more about her on my blog (read it here) but in celebration of the new book contract I'm offering a live class, free and online, on 16th June, 8pm UK time. "Introduction to Babalon" will be a talk on the basics of Babalon as I understand her, with a magical mini-ritual to connect with her magic, plus a special offer on an upcoming adventure with Babalon...
As always, there will be a replay, but I always make time after the recording for those who do come live to ask questions and share... so pop it in your calendar now and make sure you're signed up to get the Zoom and replay link.

Did you catch the latest TEA with Halo podcast episode? I got to chat with my friend and colleague Sef Salem, appropriately enough about Babalon! As well as BEing magic, following your own way of doing magic, and the importance of community events.
As always I finish by inviting my guest to share a practical for you, and Sef chose a chant, said to be in Enochian (the language of the angels channelled by John Dee and Edward Kelley) in praise of Babalon herself. Check it out here, and remember to subscribe to catch future episodes including episode 10 with Thea Prothero on Pagan Pilgrimage this coming Monday...
From Dr. Halo Quin Magic & Musings Join The Enchanted Academy Community Here (Free) Call for Submissions | October 2026 Hello lovelies, This summer I was lucky enough to spend the weekend with magical friends in rural West Wales, surrounded by trees (and bitey bugs, but never mind!) and I ended up beginning to craft a couple of new wands. My friend asked a pertinent question: do you actually use all the wands you've made? And the short answer is; no, but it isn't always about "using". Read...
From Dr. Halo Quin Magic & Musings Join The Enchanted Academy Community Here (Free) Dragons in Wales (and updated dates) Hello folks, Turns out that there really are dragons in the Welsh woods! Not that long ago a chap took a team to search for dragons in the Glamorgan forest. Like myself... they found them! Not huge creatures, but shimmering, undulating flying serpents that danced through the air for ages, fully visible before their eyes until they disappeared into a nearby canyon. The...
From Dr. Halo Quin Magic & Musings Join The Enchanted Academy Community Here (Free) July 2026 Hello lovelies, Happy Solstice! I'm returning to my monthly (ish) updates on what's happening in Halo land. Alongside entering into editing season on my next manuscript ("Neurodivergent Witchcraft", co-authored with Irisanya Moon), I've been practicing pacing myself, always fun. The monthly Babalon circles and DIY Tarot club are both going well, I've got a big storytelling gig coming up next month...
